We will be hosting two events prior to Coal Miner Days as fundraisers for our 2012 event.

Saturday, April 21, 2012 – Roller Derby bout between Coal Miners & Lumberjacks

This was an awesome family event that showcased the fastest growing sport of Roller Derby! The Coalminers came out victorious over the Lumberjacks! A great time was had by all that attended. Thank you to everyone that came and supported the Sparwood Coal Miner Days Society as well as the East Kootenay Roller Derby League. The concession raised $550 – all of which will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. The lucky 50/50 winner walked away with $448 richer!

Saturday, May 5, 2012 – Comedy Night & Silent Auction Fundraiser

 

Ken Valgardson, Eric Steele & Kevin Stobo will entertain us for a two-hour show filled with laughter!

 

Cost: $20 each (must be 19+ to attend this event)

 

Doors open at 6 pm – Comedy starts at 8 pm – Dance to follow comedians

 

Silent auction will begin at 6 pm and end immediately at the finish of the comedy show!
